Thank you for contacting me about S. 968, the Preventing Real Online Threats to Economic Creativity and Theft of Intellectual Property Act of 2011, called PROTECT IP or PIPA. The House of Representatives is considering similar legislation in H.R. 3261, the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). I appreciate hearing from you.

S. 968 has been introduced to prevent online theft of intellectual property. While the greatest threat of infringement is to the movie, music, and computer software industries, other sectors that face threats include clothing, pharmaceutical drugs, and consumer electronics. The PROTECT IP Act would give the Department of Justice authority to enforce copyright and trademark laws against foreign websites that offer unlicensed copies of protected content. Protection of intellectual property for rightful owners is something that I support; however, I have heard from many Montanans concerned about how this bill may affect Internet security and free speech.

The PROTECT IP Act was reported unanimously by the Senate Judiciary Committee on May 26, 2011 but faces hurdles before coming to the full Senate for a vote. Rest assured, I am carefully monitoring this legislation and will oppose any version of it that negatively affects Internet security or online innovation.

Thank you for the reply and I understand what you are saying. Please understand however the potential for abuse that this law creates. I'll not support any law that muzzles the Internet, freedom of speach or freedom of thought. The danger of censorship is to great and I am not alone in this. Thousands of Montanans like myself are against this. You yourself have stated that you have heard from many of us. Sir, I implore you to withdraw your support. Also please accept my thanks. I contacted Senator Tester and RepresenativeRehberg and your office is the onlyone who offered a reply. Your secratery was courtious and professional.

I am Bob Fanning of Pray, Montana. I am running for Governor because I love Montana.


I am the only candidate who has a realistic, workable plan which will lead Montana to rapid economic progress and to independence from the Federal funds which have put Montana out of business.  I have the credentials to lead and restructure our state’s economy in today’s Federally-induced crisis. My 38 years of multifaceted financial experience and business leadership practices have built within me the diagnostic tools to understand, explain, and quantify exactly what caused the fraud-based mortgage crisis and other financial threats to Montana’s prosperity. 


Make no mistake about it, Montana – the satchel charges that were placed, that blew up America’s economy, were placed by the 106^thCongress.


Because those threats are coming from Wall Street and the Fed, I have a genuine plan to put Montanans back to work by removing Federal incursions which have impoverished our Counties and communities. Another betrayal by Republicans

I know you probably won't be surprised to hear that once again the Republican Party, that Grand Old Party, has once again betrayed the American people, the Tea Party, and our children.  President Obama has once again been handed a gift by those so-called "fiscal hawks" in Washington in the form of yet another increase in the debt ceiling.  1.2 TRILLION dollars in addition to the already out of control debt.  Where is the outrage from the tea Party?  Where is the outrage from those three so-called conservatives Romney, Gingrich, and Santorum?  Only Ron Paul has stood firm and said, "NO!"  Last summer we were facing financial Armageddon, an end to life as we know it, if the debt ceiling wasn't raised again.  Normal Americans like you and me (and by normal I mean folks who aren't millionaires) shouted from the rooftops, "No!".  The Repubicans once buckled and voted for the increase and slipped in two measures that reflect the total idiocy of Washington, DC and proves there ain't a nickles worth of difference between the Republicans and Democrates.  First the "Super Congress" idea came through with the promise that if they couldn't find common ground then the budget would be cut to the bone.  Guess what.  Shock of shocks not only was it a stupid idea, it was a total failure.  So where are those "to the bone" cuts?  If they are CUTTING anything, then why in the bloody hell are those same frauds in Washington voting to RAISE THE DEBT LIMIT?!  It's because there was never any intention of following through with the bill of lies they sold to the American people.  To add insult to injury a process was created to allow Republicans to vote against a debt increase without opposing it.  Read that again.  If you vote -against- something then doesn't that mean you oppose it?  Not in Washington and not if you're a Republican!  If your vote has zero meaning then why waste our tax dollars?  All this does is prove three points.  The politicians in Washington are perfectly fine with watching this country be destroyed by debit.  They will fiddle just like Emperor Nero did.  While Nero watched Rome burn, these politicians in Washington will watch the United States burn and our kids will pay the price.  Raising the debt ceiling will hasten the destruction of our currency via inflation and devaluation.  I challenge you to read about Kenya or about Germany after World War I.  Think it can't happen here?  Wake up, the process is already started.  Lastly, it is time for the States to take a stand.  It is not in the interest of the States to commit suicide with Washington.  It is time for the States to create central banks of their own like North Dakota has done and back those banks with hard money like gold, silver, and other precious metals and oil if available.  In closing I say this.  Times are going to get very hard very fast.  I highly recommend stocking up on food and water, and if you don't have a gun go get one.  You can thank me later.

The fact is that a large number of Republicans and Democrats are guilty of supporting this law.  I contacted my elected Congressional leaders in Montana and only the office of Senator Baucus seemed to care.  The secretary for Senator Tester laughed and said she'd pass on my concern and hung up without getting any information from me regarding my Montana residency.  Representative Rehberg's secretary was even more arrogant and condescending. She thanked me for the call and hung up, again without getting any information from me.  As a result I will be active in helping whoever runs against  Rehberg and Tester.  These clowns must be reminded they serve at the pleasure of We the People, they are NOT nobility.

Above all, we must stay alert.  The politicians in Washington will attempt to force SOPA or something like it through again.  Stay alert!  Find out if your Senators or representatives voted for this despicable bill, and if they did support anyone who runs against them and THROW THE BUMS OUT!

SOPA and PIPA lead to censorship

To those who are not aware of what SOPA is, allow me to explain.  It is a bill making the way through Congress that have one reason for existing: censorship.  The Stop Online Piracy Act and the Protect IP Act on paper is to allow corporations to sue (again in theory) any website that may host (or could host) or offer a link to any material deemed copyrighted.  For example, say I have a link to a YouTube video and that video has a song in the background and the music industry decides the video violates copyrights.  Then not only could the creator of the video be liable, but so could YouTube and even this blog (and me personally) for posting the link.  This bill is draconian and dangerous.  It effectively gives Hollywood corporations the legal power needed to force search engines like Google to not have links to oversees websites and also will prevent American companies from advertising on those sites because a company says so.  This is inexcusable.  It is tyrannical, and it is dangerous.  There are numerous websites that are blacked out today in protest of this overreach.  Wikipedia is blacked out.  OathKeepers is blacked out.  Google has a black box over its own logo in protest.

It gives government the ability to decide what domain name is valid, what is abusive, what is legal.  How far will the government take this?  The answer?  As far as they will.  Please contact your congressional represenative and senators TODAY!  Let them know you are against these bills and will work as hard as possible to help them be defeated in the next election.  This effects you, me, and our families.  This must not be allowed to stand.

Separate Church and State: Get the Government out of Marriage

We are always hearing liberals and Neo-Cons screaming about the Separation of Church and State:  the liberals say God has no place in the public square while Neo-Cons seem to believe that while the church must be separate from government, government must have its own place in the church via the 501(c)3 tax code.  I submit to you this is a falacy: it is a lie and it must end.  Take this for example.  There is an institution that is grounded on Biblical principles that is literally thousands of years old.  This institution is called marriage.  What is marriage exactly?  The answer is simple.  There are two institutions that God ordained in the Bible, and those are the family and church.  Marriage is the bedrock and foundation of the family, and the family like it or not is the foundation and heartbeat of civil government.  If you have irresponsible citizenry than how can you expect to have responsible government?  It simply doesn't work.  Where does one learn to be a responsible mother or father?  Most people used to learn that at church.  Church brings about correction at the feet of God's man as well as study of Scripture.  Now however because of the unholy intrusion and even dominance of government into the church anything considered "controversial" is strictly off limits and taboo.  Allow me to give you an example:
"He who spareth the rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him correcteth him betimes" (Proverbs 13:24) 
"Withhold not correction from a child: for if thou strike him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and deliver his soul from hell." (Proverbs 23:13-14)


When is the last time you have heard your preacher deliver a message on the correction of your child(ren)?  Or more to the point when it comes to the topic of this article, marriage?  Marriage was created by God to be a union (marriage means union) between one man and one woman.  Now don't get me wrong, many men in the Bible in the Old Testament had several wives and all it did was bring them grief.  Just look at David and Solomon.  Let's see what Scripture says shall we?

Let me be clear, this article has nothing to do with preaching Christianity to my readers.  The point of these verses is to show that in the realm or marriage the church, not the State has jurisdiction.  The government has NO RIGHT to dictate marriage   After all there is a Separation of Church and State right?  I mean if the church is not to get involved in maters of government (which is a lie by the way) then the government has no right to tell us who we can or can't marry.  The idea of a license from the government to allow a preacher, priest, rabbi, or imam to marry anyone is insulting and an overreach or authority.  You however will find very few preachers willing to take on these issues because they are gutless cowards araid of offending the IRS and lose the 501(c)3 tax break.  They want those thirty pieces of silver!    I'll lose on this.  Please tell me where in the Constitution it says anything about the Separation of Church and State?  I'll save you some trouble, it doesn't!  The First Amendment however has quite a bit to say about religion and the government:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.


Nowhere do I see in that text government having the power to define marriage.  Government has no right, power, or authority to dictate marriage at all, and I'm not bound by the 501(c)3 so I'll say what odds are your preacher is to scared to say:  GOVERNMENT GET THE HELL OUT OF OUR CHURCHES, OUR FAMILIES, AND OUR BEDROOMS!!!!!


Lastly maybe Patrick Leahy and the Neo-Cons who wrote the Defense of Marriage act should actually read the Constitution.  They did after all swear and oath to preserve and defend it.  The new dust-up in Washington is a joke.  How can we be a free people when we have the powers that be telling us how to raise our children and who we can or can't marry and then require a license to do so?  Could you imagine George Washington to be required to get a license to marry his wife Martha?  Yeah, me either.

Without the Second Amendment, the 9th and 10th Amendments Would be Meaningless

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.


For many people, these words are familiar as well as comforting.  However, for just as many people those words are a constant source of frustration and annoyance.  The reason is simple really.  There are millions of American firearm owners and there are all kinds of reasons that those millions of Americans own them:

*Hunting
*Target shooting
*Collecting
*Personal Protection

For the Founders there is no doubt that the foremost reason that they included this amendment in the Bill of Rights was to protect the freedom of the individual State and the people of that State.  The capital S was not a typo nor was it put there for artistic flare.  The States were to be independent.  The several States were united into a federal  republic.  A strong national government was the last thing the Founders wanted.  I know what I'm about to say will make a LOT of folks mad but so be it:  The Founders would never recite our Pledge of Allegiance.  One indivisible nation was not what they wanted.  The concept is nothing more than a perversion, regardless of what Glenn Beck says, but that's an issue for another day.  The Second Amendment as written was to ensure the People always be able to resist the federal government should it become a terror to the people, to become a tyranny.  You think I'm making this up?  Let's see what the Founders said shall we?

Notice how similarly worded these two amendments are.  In a nutshell what these amendments are supposed to do is arrest the federal government through the fourth check and balance in the Constitution.  "But there are three checks!  Executive, Judicial, and Legislative!", you may say.  You are wrong.  The fourth check and the one that has broken down, thus allowing us to reach this sorry state of affairs is the States themselves.  Remember, the States are all independent!  The federal government has NO jurisdiction over the internal affairs of a State, only over interstate affairs like commerce.  There is nothing in the Constitution about secession, abortion, drug control, wages, education, or the environment.  These are all State issues.  If just one governor would get elected and tell the powers that be in Washington, D.C. to jump off the proverbial bride a true revolution would start!  If that happens (and I hope it does happen soon for all our sakes) the tyrannical side of those "princes" in Washington will go ballistic.  And what do people who are in power fear the most?  Losing the power they have.  Without the Second Amendment there would be no firewall.  There would be no way to resist a tyrant should it become necessarily.  I pray it never does.  Thank God the Founders hoped for the best for us, while preparing us for that worse case scenario  Without the Second Amendment, none of the other .amendments would matter.  Difficult times are coming.  If you have a gun get more ammo.  If you don't have one, get one and learn to use it.  You can thank me later.

Florida Does It Again

The State of Florida has done it again.  This Saturday, October 1, 2011 some new gun laws are going into effect.  The new states that state law is superior to local ordinances.  This is a response to a case where a Gulf Breeze, Florida doctor was forced to shut down his private range on his own land.  Read that again.  It is an outrage when a town forces a person who pays property taxes to close a gun range he had open before neighbors moved in.  They chose to move there.  The range was already there when they decided to close on the properties they chose to purchase. The new neighbors helped get an ordinance a noise ordinance limiting gunshots to five a day to force the doctor to shutdown his private gun range.  A range on his private property.  That he pays taxes for.  Hurrah for the lawmakers in Tallahassee and for Rick Scott for having the guts and common sense to get this much needed law passed.
The second line of business is also common sense.  Florida does not permit open carry, so folks who wish to carry guns with a concealed carry license must be careful not to reveal the gun they carry or they can be charged with "brandishing".  The new law protects folks who do carry concealed.  If the gun is accidentally revealed when performing a task (such as putting groceries in your car) you can't be charged with brandishing.  Maybe some folks with brains were elected in 2010 in the Sunshine State.  I hope that holds true for other States also.

A New Start

I'd like to announce the reopening of my blog.  I intend on doing things a bit different this time around and I'd like to thank everyone for the support they have shown and send a special thanks to the folks who have asked me to reopen this site.  I'll still do political commentary, but now I intend to focus more on the states rights issue as I firmly believe Washington, D.C is simply to corrupt to save.  Please check in once a week and submit feedback.

Where is the ACLU?

As some of you may know a judge in New Jersey refused a woman a restraining order against her husband after he repeatedly raped her.  The judge in the case, Judge Joseph Charles, ruled that since the woman's husband was Muslim he had the right to have sex with her...even if she refused to have sex with him.  The man forced the wife to have sex with him against her will.  Now I'm not a lawyer but I do know what rape is.  Forcing anyone to have sex is rape.  Period.  End of story.  But not in Islam and Judge Charles evidently agrees with that sentiment.  In steps Oklahoma.  As you know we had an election on the second of November and in Oklahoma a measure was passed by the people of Oklahoma stating a judge may not use religious or international law to make a ruling.  The Muslim community is up in arms.  They want the courts to make rulings based on Sharia law as is done in Britain.  So my question is where in the hell is the ACLU?  Don't they champion separation of church and state?  However that may be the reason why they are silent.  Maybe they are fine with Mosque and State.  Muneer Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Oklahoma  filed a lawsuit challenging the measure as violating his First Amendment rights.  That is crap.  First over seventy percent of the voters who voted approved the measure called State Question 755 also known as "Save Our State".  Second, the people in Oklahoma (and in any State) are sovereign and can do as they please as long as the State Constitution isn't violated.  That is why the States have Constitutions after all.  Lastly, the Federal Constitution restrains the Federal government not the sovereign states!  Wake up America!  Contact your newly elected state leaders and demand they pass laws like what Oklahoma has done.  If you don't there may be an Islamic court headed your way sooner than you think.

Last Chance for the Republicans

Unless you are living in a cave you know that today is election day.  It looks like the Republicans have retaken control of the House of Representatives, and so one must wonder what that means.  Is it a repudiation of Obama?  Yes.  Is it the last chance for the Republican party?  Yes.  Mark my words, if the Republicans try and negotiate or compromise with Obama then it will be the end of the Republican Party.  The Tea Parties around the nation are screaming out that they don't want compromise, they don't want half hearted measures; they want the Federal government to be stopped and to be pushed back.  Just stopping the growth of government isn't enough.  The federal government has grown far to large and powerful.  It has its fingers in every facet of our lives and it must be forced back to the bounds the Constitution has set for it, and if that doesn't happen then there will be a Third Party and the Republicans will be a piece of history.  To the freshmen in the House; keep your word.  To the voters; if the freshmen compromise then destroy the Republican Party and build a new party or elevate the Constitution Party to power.  It is your call voters of America.

Firearms Freedom Act Goes to Court

The Firearms Freedom Act will soon be headed to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.   This is important because this will kick the case on to the US Supreme Court, and I believe that will be a good day.  The Court will then be forced to rule on either freedom or tyranny.  I believe it is high time that we find out just what kind of government we have one way or the other.  For folks who do not know, the Firearms Freedom Act was first passed in Montana and has been spreading to other states.  Many of the folks reading this probably have very little, if any, idea of what this law does.  In a nutshell the states that have passed this law are telling the federal government that if a product (in this case guns) is made, sold, and never leaves the state it was built in that they (the feds) have no authority to regulate said product.  The Federal government uses the Interstate Commerce Clause to regulate everything from guns to chewing gum, and it is the vehicle that Congress and Obama are using to force obamacare on us.  Look at the map that I am embedding in this article.  If your state does not support a Freedom Act then get involved!  Tell the folks running for office if they support this law then they will earn your vote.  This is one of the last chances we have, if not the last chance, to restore power to the states.  Will you support freedom?

Call Congress at 202-224-3121 and tell those goobers that they work for you.  Let them know if they will not support the Firearm (or Commerce to include all products made in a state) Freedom Act then you will do all you can to insure they get a pink slip this November!

Most folks know that the congressional elections are going to be held on November 2, 2010.  If the talking heads are correct the Republicans expect to take back the House and maybe even the Senate....again that is a big if.  Lets just say for arguments sake they are right and the Republicans do sweep into power in Congress will anything really change?  I submit to you I have my doubts, and you should also.  It was Republicans who passed the so called Patriot Act.  It was Republicans who left a debt of more than one trillion dollars for Obama...who then exploded that debt.  After all, everyone knows when you can't pay your bills that you spend more money that you don't have to get out of the hole, right?  It was Republicans who controlled the House, Senate, and Presidency and left NAFTA intact, who did nothing to stop abortion and good 'ol Dubya along with Juan McCain and Mr. Grahm from South Carolina who pushed for amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants without doing a damned thing to seal the border.  Washington is lost and corrupt.  I you value your freedoms, such as they are, then you must elect Constitutionally minded men and women to state office.  We need governors and sheriffs who will tell the slime balls in Washington to but out of state issues.  We need state Congresspeople and Senators who will fight to restore true power to the States by supporting 10th Amendment bills and let the progressive politicians know they had better keep their hands off our Second Amendment.  If you haven't done so please join the NRA.  Get involved with folks running locally in your state.  If you can't give money give your time  Hand out fliers and make phone calls.  Take folks to the polls and get them registered to vote.  Just don't be fooled; fake Republican "conservatives" can and have done more damage than the most ardent Democrat progressive.

Sorry for the absence

I just wanted to let everyone know who faithfully reads this blog that I'm sorry for being absent.  I've not forgotten about this site or about y'all; the non-virtual world has been somewhat...crazy.  I promise I'll be on a more stable schedule, at least for a while.  Thanks for reading!

I'm going to miss you Pastor Baldwin

As some of you may know, my preacher and role model Pastor Chuck Baldwin has retired from pastoring Crossroad Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida.  I just want to offer him my heartfelt thanks for a job well done and prayers for his safety and success in whatever the Lord leads him to do in Montana.  Going with Pastor Baldwin are Allan Baker and his family along with the two best friends a guy can have, Tim and Chris Baldwin.  These men have wonderful families and my own family and I have been enriched beyond measure by having these great people in our lives.  Mrs. Connie Baldwin is the very portrait of grace and I wish she could stay and continue teaching Courtney and later Thomas about Jesus.  I can't stop myself from wishing that the Baldwins would stay.  I understand that I'm being selfish, but  the truth is I can't help it.  You would be lucky to have a true friend and God has given me two of the best friends a guy could ask for and one awesome preacher who isn't afraid of stepping on someones toes.  I couldn't ask for a better teacher, mentor, and yes, friend, than Pastor Baldwin.  Pastor, Tim, Chris...I'm gonna miss y'all.  A lot.  When y'all get to Montana give those New World Order types hell for me.  I named this blog after a regiment of elite Roman soldiers who were tasked with defending the eagle banners in a legion.  They were the best, bravest soldiers in a legion.  They had the honor of being called antesignanus.  That is what the Baldwins are.  They are the tip of a very sharp spear leveled at the heart of those who want to destroy the United States and steal the freedoms God Himself has given us.  I stand in awe of these men and the families they have built.  Allan, take care of them.  Tim, keep Chris out of trouble when you can and Chris give 'em hell when Tim isn't watching.  Keep up the fight fellas.

What does freedom mean to you?

Freedom.  Most people have no idea what that word means.  I am not a lawyer.  I'm not a politician.  I'm not anyone important at all.  All I am is a guy with a family and a computer who is doing his best to make it in an increasingly hostile environment.  The economy is in the toilet and our government seems hellbent on stealing our liberties.  Let me explain what I am talking about.  We have no property rights in the United States.  If you do not believe me I challenge you to stop paying your property taxes.  You had to spend money to buy your property.  If you inherited your house and land then someone else bought it and left it to you, right?  If you buy something it belongs to you, correct?  Wrong.  We have become a nation of helots.  Now I know I have some heads spinning.  What is a helot?  Let me explain it to you.  Helotage was a type of tenant farming practiced in ancient Laconia.  Sparta was the capital of Laconia and every Spartan peer was responsible for a number of helots.  The helots were not slaves; the Spartan master could not sell a helot, however a Spartan could kill a helot who was a trouble maker or got out of line, and the helot was required to give the Spartan a percentage of his or her income in the form of crops.  It was the very first income tax.  And while the helot in theory owned his land if the Spartan peer wasn't paid what he was owed he could take your land.  That is the exact same system we have today.  The government steals via taxation what we produce and takes even more if we own our home, land, or both.  As a result I say there is no private land holdings in this nation.  Again, if you doubt me stop paying your property taxes and see what happens.  Our government is also hostile to gun ownership.  I have the right to own a gun that has been given to me by God, not the government.  If I want to go buy a gun I should be able to do so without being treated like a criminal.  Correct me if I am wrong but aren't we innocent of a crime till proven guilty?  If that is so then explain to me why I must prove I am innocent of a crime before I am allowed to buy a gun?  Listen, I do not want a felon owning a gun or any weapon, period.  But to treat everyone like a felon till they prove they aren't one is simply wrong.  If a felon is caught with a gun then make them go away.  For a long, long time.  For me the freedom is being able to have a pastor being able to slam the government when it is overstepping without said pastor facing harassment from the government.  If I want to buy a gun I go and get the one (or more) that I want and I pay the clerk and they smile and say, "Thanks Mr. West!"  Freedom is keeping the money I earn without the government stealing from me and by God if I want a home it is mine and I shouldn't have to rent it from the government!  I'd love to know what freedom means to you.  Email me at rabuliz@gmail.com and let me know.

A Letter

First let me say I'm sorry for the long delay in posting on this blog.  Life has been very uncooperative as of late but now that things are better I'll resume a regular schedule.

I'd like to start this article out with a bit about myself.  I was saved as a child through the Lord Jesus Christ.  My granddad lead me to the Lord and I am thankful that one of the jewels he has in his crown in heaven is there due to his leading me to Jesus.  My childhood was chaotic for reasons I will not go into here; suffice it to say the mountains were high and the valleys were very deep.  My teenage years were ones I spent out of fellowship with the Lord.  My heart was hard and cold.  I had a wall of rage that I intentionally fueled.  When you stay angry you don't feel much of anything.  I left high school but thankfully I had brains enough to get a GED and went through two years of vocational school for computer repair.  I continued drifting through life doing my own thing.  I Robby West, the independent man, who needed nobody or no thing....because while I knew there was a hole in my heart I ignored it.  I heard a still small voice calling out to me when I wasn't shouting my rage to the world..  That voice scared me more than anything.  Because it whispered that despite all the things I had done, I was loved.  I, who in my fury told Christ I hated Him, was loved by the One who I was running from.  I believed that I did not deserve love.  I told myself that I would build a better life for myself and that I did not need anyone to help.  I would be strong enough to do it all on my own.  What a fool I was.  It took one mighty event and a few wonderful people to open my eyes and to teach me just how stupid I was and in many ways, still am.  First God worked a miracle and through His grace I was able to forgive my mom and dad for things I went through in my childhood.  The wall of rage started to crumble.  Then, I met a man named Bill who through his life experiences and wisdom was able to guide me through my own life's troubled waters.  I doubt he even knew it at the time, but Bill taught me how to have a friend...and how to be one.  The bricks started to come down-the wall around my heart was breached.  Then I met Kizzy.  I'll never know what it is that she saw or even sees in me, but we fell in love and through her God gave me a family.  My daughter Courtney will be three in November and my son Thomas just turned one.  How the angry son is a father and my own dad is teaching me just how to be a dad, not just a father.  Thank you dad.  I love you.  God also brought a wonderful family into my life.  Through them I have learned to walk with Christ and learned just why He never gave up on me even when I had given up on Him.  Thank you Pastor Baldwin for teaching me God's Word and for helping me become the man I am today.  Thank you Tim and Chris.  Especially Tim and Chris.  A guy can never ask for better friends or spiritual mentors.
You both make this Christian walk look so easy!  And man can y'all sing!  Thanks to these awesome people whom God has used as tools the wall of fury around my heart has been breached finally and Jesus has freed me from my sins and my self imposed torments.  And I have my mom again.  Thank you Jesus.  I love you mom.  I forgive you.  And I forgive myself at long last.  I know this is a rambling letter but this is in my heart and I needed to share it.  If you are running from Christ, take my advice.  Stop.  Face Him.  Allow Him into your heart.  Make him your Savior.  Through Christ our chains are broken and made truly free.

A Failed Experiment Gives Occasion to Restore Freedom -- by Timothy Baldwin

There is no question that the United States Constitution was considered to be an EXPERIMENT. The Federalists and Anti-Federalists alike admitted it was an experiment, and it has been described as such ever since. Evidently, Americans use the term not knowing what it actually means or implies. So, what was it that made this form of government experimental? Before answering the question, let us initially identify what was NOT unique about the U.S. Constitution–aspects that many probably consider to exhibit the unique and singular greatness of the U.S. Constitution, but in reality, are not unique at all and were in fact borrowed.
First, the separation of powers in the federal government was not new. That element of government had been around literally since Moses governed Israel in Canaan. Great Britain exercised a separation of powers as well: executive power in the Monarch, legislative power in Parliament and judicial power in the courts. Second, that the form was a democratic-republic was not new. The European states and countries had exercised self-government to a greater degree than just about any other people in the history of the world. Thirdly, the experiment was not in having a bill of rights. Such an acknowledgement of people’s rights had existed in the European countries since the Magna Charta in 1215. Neither did the experiment lie in such components as term limits, voting, limited government authority, a two-house congress and the like. All of these had been well established throughout the governments of the world. All of those aspects were a given, but were only debated in terms of preference and compromise.  The U.S. Constitution was in fact not new on virtually every component of its composure. So, what made it an EXPERIMENT, such that the freedom it (along with the State constitutions already in place) was supposed to protect was very susceptible to abuse and destruction? What was it about the U.S. Constitution that would transform its character from one governing the consent of the governed to one governing by the force of the Supreme Sword of the federal government? What was it about the nature of the constitution that carried with it serious risk in its implementation? And indeed it was risky, for why would the form of government be considered an experiment if the risks (now and the future) would not seriously jeopardize freedom? If the potential abuses were not serious in nature and scope, then there would be no need in describing the form of government as an experiment.  In short, the EXPERIMENT was the attempt to form distinct parallel lines of powers to the State governments and Federal government with respect to their separate delegations; to allow “two sovereigns” to “occupy” the same territory over the same people; and to entrust each representative in those governments to stay within its own sphere of delegation; to allow for a standing military in the hands of the federal government and a militia army of the people in the hands of the States. This was the experiment in the world of political and social science: having two “sovereigns” with completely different purposes over the same people throughout different states with different interests. For many during that day, it was literally considered impossible; thus, the experimental nature of attempting to.  I submit, that while a good run was made of the experiment, the results of the test are in, and the experiment proves to have failed. I understand that it is hard for Americans to reach this conclusion for a variety of reasons, and this is not surprising, for as our founders said, “all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.” After a while, this disposition to suffer reaches the level of voluntary and consensual slavery. To avoid that treachery, freedom-loving Americans need to get over themselves and their substance-less pride and do what is right for freedom’s sake.  Do I love America? Absolutely. I love its history, legacy and heritage. I study it every day. But I love freedom more–freedom that I want to experience myself, not just read about in history books. I can assure you, however, I have no permanent affection towards forms of government. They are merely tools to reach an end, namely freedom. Government is our servant and we its master. When government becomes destructive to freedom, I have no qualms about abolishing the existing government and forming new government to secure what God has granted to me, my wife, my child, my family, my community and my body-politic.  Do I believe that the U.S. Constitution equates to freedom? Absolutely not; no more than I believe that a law acknowledging my right to defend myself grants me the right to blow a would-be rapist to smithereens if he were to attempt to hurt my wife and child. I believe what human history proves, that a constitution is only one of the measures in society to protect freedom; that a “constitution may happen to be free, and the [citizen] not” (Charles de Baron Montesquieu and Julian Hawthorne, ed., The Spirit of Laws: The World’s Great Classics, vol. 1 (London: The London Press) 183); and that a constitution can become practically useless in restraining government. I believe that constitutions should be formed and re-formed by a body-politic as they deem it necessary to protect themselves.  I do not understand the mentality of those shallow-thinking citizens who have the bumper sticker approach to government, “Support America. Be American!” as if to say, resistance to government or abolishing government contradicts our patriotic duty and is un-American. To the contrary, doing your patriotic duty means being ever vigilant and honest in your evaluation of political and societal conditions. It means being liberal-minded (not in the political-party sense) in our approach to government, and if necessary, instituting new forms.  Is it so surprising that the societal and political changes over 250 years would completely change the character and nature of a union and the application of the “Supreme Law of the Land”? The union and the U.S. Constitution were actually bound for deconstruction, just as all governments are and all political unions that attempt to be perpetual. That the Tower-of-Babel-mentality can be successful mocks common sense and historical proof. Human nature does not allow it. The form of government of the U.S. Constitution was an experiment, admittedly not destined to live forever, for as soon as society’s character and nature change, so does the constitution governing those people.  Do you think that the philosophy, beliefs, cultures and morals of a people can substantially change but the “Supreme Law of the Land” remain the same as to those completely different people in completely different times and circumstances? Get real. Justice Joseph Story, one of the most nationalistic-minded of the founding generation, admits the same thing. Concerning the inevitable fall of the political experiment, the U.S. Constitution, he says,  “[T]he fabric [of the constitution] may fall; for the work of man is perishable. Nay, it must fall, if there be not the vital spirit in the people, which can alone nourish, sustain, and direct, all its movements.” (Joseph Story, A Familiar Exposition of the United States Constitution, (New York, NY, Harper and Brother, 1868 reprinted), 100-101.)  This “vital spirit” of freedom has so long been absent in this country and in such a shortage of knowledge, virtue and energy that to suggest freedom can be restored in America through the current union and form of government calls into question the judgment of those who honestly hold that opinion.  Does this mean that freedom cannot be restored in America? Absolutely not. Freedom can be restored and it will, but only in those places where the people believe in and practice independence, honesty and self-government enough to part with the federal government that has filled the gap of the people’s irresponsibility and lust for comfort and money with tyranny and oppression.  Does the U.S. Constitution contain good principles? It sure does. It contains principles that had been accepted through political enlightened thought for centuries, just as the British Constitution did. Yet, despite containing good principles, the founding generation believed that constitutions notwithstanding, there comes a time when to remain in a political association shirks our duty to God and man.  Do I believe the U.S. Constitution is perfect? Absolutely not. Neither did the founders as they said they were only forming a “more perfect union,” in anticipation that their posterity (and even current generation) would retain the priority of their virtue, morals and good faith. This description of the U.S. Constitution necessarily means that there could be a better constitution; a better form of government; and an even more perfect union. But such a “better” government will not be obtained by keeping a union so large with a constitution that “grants” to the federal government plenary power to govern hundreds of millions of people for the supposed “general welfare” of “all” and to pass any and all laws “necessary and proper” in the “pursuance” of (e.g. “living constitution”) such ends; and where the people in the States have lost virtually all control over internal polity and interest in the name of the “Supreme Law of the Land” imposed upon us since Chief Justice John Marshall rendered his opinions in the early 1800s.  I propose this truth: a constitution is to be judged by its practical merits and revealing experience and not upon some indeterminable “intent” of what the “founding fathers meant.” Moreover, I ask, which founding fathers? The ones that preferred a monarchical form of government and believed the U.S. Constitution to be a consolidating effect upon the people as one body-politic? The ones that believed that Great Britain’s form of government was the best in the world and should be replicated here and who thought the U.S. Constitution was a stepping-stone to that end? The ones that imposed nationalistic practices in the federal government even during the first term of the United States’ first president? Hoping for a return to “what the founders intended” is chasing a moving shadow and ignores the reality of what this union has become “in pursuance of” the U.S. Constitution, all the intentions in the world notwithstanding.  You may argue that those nationalistic-supremacy ideas were not the ones accepted by the founding fathers (which ones?), yet history proves that the federal government has reached its current status largely with the consent of all three federal branches throughout the past two centuries, in the authority of the U.S. Constitution, even from the very beginning. Has the constitution stopped this power crave and expansion? Do you think that the U.S. Supreme Court Judges have not put good reasoning to their opinions when they analyze the constitutional powers granted to the federal government? Are they all just a bunch of idiots or conspiratorial maniacs, or has the constitution not adequately maintained the lines of parallel power between people and federal government and between State government and federal government, that being the very core of this constitutional experiment?  The federal government even fought a Civil War against fellow Americans to retain this “constitutional” Nationalistic Supremacy over the people of the States to govern themselves, all under the authority of the U.S. Constitution. The U.S. Constitution’s effect to this national-supremacy-end has only intensified since then and gotten progressively worse. If it took over two hundred years to get to this point, which you may perceive as constitutional degradation, how long do you think it would take to get back to 1787-intent using the same constitution that has empowered the federal government during those 200-plus years? Let us shed these illusions based merely in the wishing and not in the reality.  America’s founding generation told their posterity that this form of government was an EXPERIMENT. Like them, we should recognize the reality that one day new forms of government would need to be instituted for freedom’s sake, just as they showed us in the Declaration of Independence, which cited not the English Constitution as a basis of their right to live freely, but the Natural Laws of God. These laws are based upon the principles self-preservation, -defense, -improvement and -government. We, their posterity, must make similar decisions, using their good example, to secure freedom for ourselves and our posterity. May we endeavor to experiment in freedom once again.

You can build a mosque at Ground Zero when we can build a church in Mecca

I am so sick and tired of the double standards in this country.  I am sick and tired of having to bow down and kiss some group's posterior because they are a so called "minority."  Since when does being a minority mean that the majority of people has to give a damn what you think, want, or say?  Now I know I have some one's attention.  "Aha, Robby is a bigot, I just knew it!," is what some of you who are reading this post are now thinking.  To you I say you need to get informed.  Just what am I talking about?  Allow me to explain.  How many of you folks remember September 11, 2001?  What were you doing when you first heard about the attacks?  How did you respond?  Imagine back then of someone told you that a group of Muslims lead by a radical imam would want to build a mosque at the ground zero site in New York on say...September the 12?  (for those of you who may need a reminder it was not nineteen Southern Baptists or Catholics who hijacked three planes and killed more than three thousand people by playing kamikaze)?  Here we are nine years out and that is just what we are now facing.  The groups building the mosque paid $4.85 million for the property.  The building itself was damaged during the attacks on September the 11th and construction costs are expected to run around $100 million dollars.  Now that in and of itself raises a question as to just where is all this money coming from?  We have part of the answer.  The Dutch government is actually financing part of the project.  Read about that nugget here.Mayor Bloomburg of New York City doesn't seem to care and says that folks like me questioning this project are promoting religious intolerance.  So be it.  I am asking and looking for answers to questions as I am writing this article.  I hope you will join me in the search as well.  Take a look at the wikipedea link here.  Then we have to talk about the imam himself, one Feisal Abdul Rauf who says that the United States was an accessory to the crime and has stated he wishes the United States was more Sharia compliant.  I say to hell with that.  This nation is built on Christian law and if Mister Rauf wants to live according to Sharia law he is more than welcome to live in Saudi Arabia or Iran.
Listen the point is that Ground Zero is holy ground.  Thousands of our countrymen died there and if followers of Islam want to build a mosque there in the name of building briges and making amends then I'm all for it...as long as Christians can build churches in Mecca and other Islamic cities.  Fair is fair.  Read more about the good imam here.

Thank God for Michael Savage

In this brave new age of tolerance and diversity someone would never be condemned because of an opinion.  Never.  Trust me.  As a society we are taught the values of acceptance of views and cultures different then what we grew up with.Now, if you believe that crap I have a bridge I want to sell you in San Fransisco, home of the greatest media personality alive today, Doctor Michael Savage.  Doctor Savage is a dose of fresh air in this otherwise polluted and watered down age of so-called "conservative" media and commentary.  In a brave and enlightened age such as our own where every opinion is to be heard out and respected that does not apply to the traditional standard.  What do I mean?  Allow me to explain it to you. Doctor Savage believes in a few simple things like I do, such as:

• Marriage between one man and one woman
• Borders, Language, Culture are the building blocks of any nation
• Holds that the Second Amendment is an individual right
• Supports the English Only Movement
• Holds both political parties are corrupt (hello Scott Brown)
• States the fact that Islam is the enemy of the United States
• Stands up to CAIR and other Islamic groups that mean harm to traditional American values

I have a link to Doctor Savage's website on my links section and I hope you check his page out.  You will find news there that is hard to find and very relevant to the days we now live in.  The views that Doctor Savage have are so controversial that he is banned from entering Great Britain.  Read that again.  This man has committed no crime whatsoever.  He hasn't robbed anyone, killed anyone, or slandered anyone.  For standing for traditional values and having the balls to tell the truth he is banned for his opinion!  So much for tolerance.  I ask the readers of this site to do a few easy things. 

1. Go to his website and read about him yourself.  The link is listed on my link section.
2. Listen to the man on the radio and YouTube
3. Buy his book Banned in Britain

This man deserves our support and that being said this writer is glad to give it.  Listen to him, and if you agree our country can't survive without Borders, Language, Culture , believe that marriage is between a man and a woman then I beg you to offer him your support as well.  God bless Michael Savage!
